Build custom collections of your favorite live streams and share them with friends—no hosting required!
You don't need your own website to share playlists! Create a free Pastebin account and paste your playlist JSON there. Use the "raw" URL and it works perfectly with Live Screensaver!
Playlists are simple JSON files. Here's the format:
[
{
"name": "Beach Cam - San Diego",
"url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXAMPLE1"
},
{
"name": "City View - Tokyo",
"url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXAMPLE2"
},
{
"name": "Northern Lights Live",
"url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXAMPLE3"
}
]
Search YouTube for live streams you enjoy. Copy the URL for each one you want to include in your playlist. Make sure they're actually live streams!
Use the format above to create your playlist JSON. Add as many channels as you like! Give each one a descriptive name.
Go to pastebin.com and create a free account. Paste your JSON and create a new paste. Set expiration to "Never".
After creating your paste, click the "raw" button to get the raw URL. This URL can be used directly in Live Screensaver!
https://pastebin.com/raw/XXXXXXXX
This is the URL format you'll get. Share this with friends and they can paste it directly into Live Screensaver!
Make sure the YouTube streams you include are actually live and active. Dead streams will be skipped automatically.
Group similar streams together—beaches, cities, nature, etc. Makes it easier for others to find what they're looking for.
Give each channel a descriptive name so users know what they're watching at a glance.
